This chapter addresses the question of why Christians should think there is anything in Tibetan Buddhism that might enrich their prayer life. It describes the similarities between the Buddhist meditative process combining analytical and stabilization meditation, and the Christian practice of Lectio Divina; and between Tibetan analytical meditations and Ignatian contemplation, a Catholic prayer form that aims at experiencing the kind of affective, or heartfelt, knowledge.
