This chapter focuses on the distinctive rules and procedures that affect the three types of large-scale arbitration in national and international legal systems. It also discusses the ways in which large-scale claims may be asserted for each type. In order to explain the topic clearly, it compares how to assert large-scale claims in court and in arbitration as well as the some of the procedures followed by American Arbitration Association and the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services regarding large-scale arbitration.
