This chapter presents oral history interviews with two American nuns who have been dedicated to the study of Judaism: Sister Rose Thering, a Dominican from Racine, Wisconsin, who has devoted the major part of her life to Jewish-Christian relations; and Sister Florence Vales, a member of the Monastery of Saint Clare in Bordentown, New Jersey, who studied Hebrew. The narratives capture the women's experiences over the past fifty years, beginning in the 1960s.
