This brief chapter summarizes the mission and vision of “people of faith and conscience” in southern Arizona who are responding to migrant suffering and death, and who are highlighted in the first half of the book. It discusses another pivotal border ministry in the Tucson Sector, The Samaritans, who provide emergency medical assistance, food and water to migrants crossing the Sonoran desert.
