Abstract

This book examines how winners came out on top of the fierce marketplace of China’s economic reform. It looks at how successful multinational firms grew their operations in China and how successful local firms emerged from the restructuring process, as well as the competition between them. As a consequence of cutthroat competition, Chinese industries are increasingly consolidated.
