Part III of the book deals with various categories of liability, such as liability for movable and immovable objects and liability for persons, both on the basis of strict and fault liability. A key feature of these categories is the person acting in the role of supervisor over an object or a person. This chapter introduces this part of the book by setting out the different ways that a supervisor can be indicated. It briefly touches on the topic of liability for information, involving situations in which someone is obliged to provide information, and in which someone has to ensure that voluntarily provided information is correct and reliable.
