Errors concerning group-subgroup relations can arise from wrong origin shifts. This can cause the wrong choice of a supergroup. Subgroups on a par can refer to rather different crystal structures, so that the right one out of several choices has to be selected. Other error sources are wrong cell transformations and the forbidden addition of symmetry operations.
