This chapter discusses the link between alcohol consumption and gastric cancer. Moderate alcohol consumption is not associated with increased risk of stomach cancer. There is, however, a positive association between heavy alcohol drinking and non-cardia gastric cancer. Moderate and heavy alcohol consumption is causally associated with colorectal cancer. The risk of colorectal cancer increases with increasing alcohol intake.
