Abstract

When Orthodoxy was published in 1908, Wilfrid Ward hailed Chesterton as a prophetic figure, whose thought was to be classed with that of Burke, Butler, and Coleridge. This book provides a biographical study on Chesterton and draws on the wealth of letters and journalistic writings within the newly released ‘Chesterton Papers’ archive at the British Library.
