This chapter is an exposition of Kumarappa’s moral philosophy that undergirds all of his theoretical positions as well as his practical recommendations. In the process, this chapter also provides an interpretative analysis of two of Kumarappa’s key texts Why the Village Movement? and Economy of Permanence. The chapter highlights Kumarappa’s interpretation of the philosophical concept of the Natural Order and its relationship with Gandhian philosophy. Another important aspect of this chapter is its development of Kumarappa’s value theory.
