Dueling Discourses: The Construction of Reality in Closing Arguments

Abstract

This book describes qualitative and quantitative analyses of the linguistic and discursive forms that opposing lawyers utilize during the closing arguments of criminal trials in order to construct contrasting representations of the same realities.
