This concluding chapter addresses accounting for the remaining single-charged particle fields in a plasma, which are neglected in a fluid kinetic description: those associated with radiations and fluctuations. These cover topics such as complex Fourier–Laplace transforms, Bessel functions, and the Jacobi elliptic functions. It also contains summaries of various applied mathematics topics and techniques that are used throughout the text. References are also given to textbooks that cover the topics at the end of each section. Students are expected to have had an exposure to these topics in applied mathematics courses taken and/or in such courses that they take concurrently with their graduate studies in plasma physics and fusion plasma electrodynamics.
