This chapter presents some suggestions about what the four readings of Gregory of Nyssa studied so far say about how Gregory is now read; to what extent these readings reflect developments in recent trinitarian theology, and to what extent they reflect ambiguities in Gregory's own thought. It argues that the four theologians (Torrance, Jenson, Zizioulas, and Brown) differ slightly in the extent to which they think the difference between East and West is merely one of perspective, or is a more substantial difference in theological concepts.
