This chapter concludes the study with a discussion of some open issues and possible future research agendas, focusing largely on some unresolved properties of listemes. It argues that while phonological considerations could in effect rule out derivations in which head movement does not take place, head movement — as proposed in this work — clearly does change meaning. The claim is consistent, however, with the possibility that the movement of L-heads, in and of itself, does not give rise to interpretational distinctions.
