Sir Thomas More's History of Richard III exists in a number of manuscript and printed versions. This chapter offers a new explanation of the relation between them, arguing that the textual variants in one particular group of printed texts reveal editorial changes made by the printer Richard Grafton. The consonance of these changes with Grafton's revisions of other texts and his activities as a promoter of reformed religion is explained.
