This chapter explores alternative interventions in people's health-related behaviour, for the purpose of making us choose a healthy diet, exercise more, and reduce the use of substances. It discusses various direct regulations as well as indirect regulations through the price mechanism. Exercises and suggested readings are included at the end of the chapter.
