A survey of some thermal properties of ordinary substances is given, with some related definitions and constants. The densities and heat capacities of ordinary substances are summarized. The mole, Avagadro’s number, Boltzmann constant, and molar gas constant are defined. Standard temperature and pressure (STP) is defined. Latent heats of some example phase transitions are given. The typical order of magnitude of magnetic properties is described.
