Abstract

This book demonstrates that modern scientific study of the natural world is at ease with ordinary, mainstream theistic belief. This simple observation is not hard to maintain as a matter of practical reality, but there is more to it than that. The situation is not one of conflict or uneasy tension, or even a respectful dialogue. Rather, a lively and well-founded faith in God provides an outlook on the whole of life, embracing and including science, and scientific ways of thinking.
