This chapter explains evolutionary biology and some of the evolutionary factors that influence sexual behaviour. Pair-bonding, parental attachment, and sperm competition are covered. Sexual selection of sexual and non-sexual behavior, individual differences, and the neural mechanisms, including oxytocin, pair-bonding, and mother-infant attachment are described.
