This chapter discusses several laws that were enacted after the Theodosian Code was formed. The first part of the chapter is devoted to a description of some general features of these post-Code laws and the assignment of these laws to their respective quaestors. Four quaestors can be discerned from this period: Martyrius, Epigenes, Procopius, and an unnamed fourth quaestor. The laws of this post-Code period were influenced by the ideology of the Code, a labour of which its authors were justly proud of.
