This chapter proposes the extension of Aristotle's kinematic analysis from the paradigm case of finite, bounded locomotion with definite, distinguishable termini a quo and ad quem to other sorts of kinēseis. The examination looks first at circular or rotary motion as a cosmologically important special case of locomotion, and then at cases of non-kinetic change. Finally, it looks on the kinematic characteristics of qualitative change or alloiōsis. It concludes with a summary of the perceived salient features of the discussion of Aristotle's physical theory.
