This chapter presents an overview of the three chapters (Chapters 6-8) in Part II of the book. Each of the chapters tells a story about a successful interdisciplinary outcome focused on certain aspects of the mechanisms of mind-body interaction. The chapters review research extending from molecular approaches in animals to brain imaging in humans. In addition to the presentation of basic, normative phenomena, they also feature the study of individual differences.
