The chapter provides the interview granted by Former Russian Federation president Boris Yeltsin to Lyudmila Telen, first deputy editor of Moskovskiye Novosti newspaper. Yeltsin's statements centered on reform issues which needed to be undertaken in the economy and the realization of freedom of speech replacing censorships. He elaborated the reasons behind his choices in favor of little-known, but ambitious politicians.
