This chapter examines the unfairness in the workplace brought about by scientific management and industrial reengineering in the U.S. It discusses reforms that are needed to correct the imbalance of power in the American workplace and to protect American workers from the exploitation and unfairness which is a consequence of that imbalance. It suggests that employees should be empowered to have a voice in deciding how much technology is used in business operations and management.
