This chapter presents a case study of an epidemic of malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer in a few small villages in Turkey. Detail clinical, epidemiological, and environmental studies identified a carcinogenic metal fibre, not previously associated with mesothelioma, as the cause of the epidemic.
