Contemporary international tribunals have remained attentive to each other’s case-law. This is reassuring, as their work is complementary. Apart from their distinct jurisdictions, they share the common mission of imparting justice, in this mission domains of international law. Jurisprudential cross-fertilization helps them to this end, besides fostering cohesion and the unity of law.

Keywords:   equality before the law, international tribunals, judicial guarantees and protection, jurisprudential cross-fertilization, unacceptable amnesties, unity of the law
