The epilogue follows the lives of the main subjects of the book, analyzing what happens later in their lives. It attempts to show how the experiences of 1920 marked an entire generation of young men and was carried forth subsequently across the decades in Chilean politics. The epilogue concludes by stressing the continuities—historical and ideological—between the activities and organizing of FECh students in the 1910s and the student protests of the past decade (and still on-going) in Chile.
