This chapter addresses the following question: is this traditional lens a good one through which to see the pension fund management world in the future, and if not, why not? What would a better lens impart? It examines ‘old’ paradigm pension fund management practices and the results they have produced. It then identifies material flaws in current practices and suggests ways improve pension fund management.
