This chapter presents a framework for examining IT-enabled sustainable competitive advantage. It presents the potential drivers of sustainability of IT-enabled strategic initiatives. The model identifies potential sources of sustainability and explains how these operate. The concepts of sustainable competitive advantage and barriers to imitation are also discussed.
