SALARY:

$200. weekly

CAPACITY:

Lyric writer. Reports to Coast Studio, when salary starts.

TRAVELING:

Writer receives transportation from New York to Coast plus $25. expenses (each way) and return.

OPTIONS:

1st – 1 year at $250. weekly; 2nd – 1 year at $300. weekly; to be exercised 30 days before expiration of previous terms.

NOTICE:

Mailed to Writer at Coast Studio, from Los Angeles or New York.

ROYALTIES:

$300. weekly advance from date hereof, during term; accounts rendered 30 days after June 30 and Dec. 31; 3 ¢ on piano copies 19¢ wholesale; 2¢ if less; 33 1/3% on commercial records; 6¢ on copies used in living stage production; 50% on records thereof; etc. (usual clause)

BREACH:

Employer has injunctive relief to prevent breach, besides other rights. Waiver of one not waiver of other breach.

PUBLICATION:

At discretion of Publisher. Writer’s works may be assigned for publication under separate royalty agreement. On written request by registered mail, unpublished works returned within 6 months thereafter.

EXECUTED:

In New York.

MEMBERSHIP:

Contract subject to Writer’s membership in American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

EXPENSES:

If Writer employed away from studio, transportation and reasonable expenses paid.

LOAN:

Writer’s services may be loaned, but contract stands.
