This chapter begins with a brief discussion of the meaning of globalization in the transnational sphere. It then discusses the challenges of globalization in German legal scholarship and legal scholarship's responses to the challenges of globalization. It concludes that while the road to a successful transnational scholarly discourse project is a long and arduous journey, the rise of the German Law Journal proves that many scholars believe in this undertaking.
