This chapter examines the internal and external actors who govern and police the actions of Christian nonprofits. These include nonprofit executives, governing boards, the Internal Revenue Service, and nonprofit watchdogs. Variations in internal governance structures are examined across different types of Christian nonprofits. The chapter concludes by analyzing the often controversial issue of executive compensation.
