This chapter discusses the different symptoms of renal disease, as well as their epidemiology, management, and assessment. It is important for family members of patients with CKD or ESRD to identify and control these symptoms, which can arise for a number of reasons, such as there may be a consequence of the dialysis, a direct consequence of the renal disease, or co-morbid conditions.
