The Nightmare and the Noble Dream: Hart and Honoré on Causation and Responsibility
This chapter argues that Hart and Honoré went astray in thinking that all the basic principles for attributing legal responsibility are principles of causation. It upbraids them for running together principles of causal attribution with principles of moral attribution.
