First, uniqueness theorems for conventional and non‐conventional thermoelastic processes — in the Lord‐Shulman as well as Green‐Lindsay theories — are given. Next, existence theorem for a non‐conventional thermoelastic process is obtained. On this basis, the fourth chapter expounds the domain of influence theorems characteristic of both theories: the potential‐temperature problem, the natural stress‐heat flux problem, and the displacement‐temperature problem.
