Traffic and Transport, or the Difficulties of Refraining
All three cities were trying to resolve traffic problems and launch new transport solutions. This chapter portrays the way these have been represented in the urban media. Though problems and solutions differed, there was a common tendency to dramatize the reporting on those issues, and an increasing influence of Anglo-Saxon journalism.
