Change and Innovation
This chapter discusses change and innovation, and its connection to information. It starts by describing how a person (or an organization) searches for information. It argues that the compulsion to know more can lead to the idea that it is the search for information, rather than the information itself, that is essential to change. The chapter then defines what change is, and how it becomes a process, through a linear model. This model defines what information is needed. The chapter concludes by explaining what innovation is from an information perspective, and how information is changed to make an impact and produce desired products.
