Methods of administration
Scales can be administered face-to-face, over the telephone, mailed, and now over the internet. This chapter discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each; and summarizes the research regarding maximizing the return rate for mailed questionnaires. It also covers using personal data assistants for ecological momentary assessment (EMA), which captures data about phenomena as they occur.
