THE CHARACTERISTIC IBVP
When the boundary is characteristic, maximal estimates must be understood in a restricted sense. The regularity theory is thus difficult, as is the construction of a dissipative symmetrizer. This is carried out under additional though natural assumptions. In particular, the chapter describes higher-order estimates under Ohkubo's assumptions.
