Alternative Formulations of the Thesis
This chapter reformulates the social democracy thesis in several ways: as rent-seeking, as simple labor market micro-foundations interacting with ownership structures, as ownership concentration facilitating and not just originating in social democratic politics, as a craving for stability, and as a reflection of differing managerial utility functions.
