This chapter looks at ideas around ‘global public goods’, and the global common interest (and need to work together) in addressing issues such as environmental pollution, climate change and diseases that cross borders. It also looks at the importance of donor countries, recognising that many of their policies over and above aid can have a significant impact on poorer countries.
