Our Lady of the Nations: Apparitions of Mary in 20th-Century Catholic Europe

Abstract

This work is a detailed overview of the apparitions of Mary in twentieth-century Catholic Europe. It points out that the interpretation of visions as subjective and imaginative is held by the Church as well as by sceptical outsiders, yet the Church also believes that, in certain cases, there is evidence of a mystical encounter with the maternal presence of Mary at the core of the experience.
