The previous chapter showed how to couple an arbitrary theory to N = 1 supergravity using a spurion field Σ (the conformal compensator). This chapter applies this technique for mediating SUSY breaking, leading to model building applications of extra dimensions. An exercise is provided at the end of the chapter.

Keywords:   supergravity, SUSY breaking, gaugino mediation, spurion field
