The dissemination of health promotion research to policymakers, practitioners, and users is essential to bridge the gaps between research policy and practice. This chapter begins by examining the definitions of dissemination. It then looks at how research is disseminated into policy and practice and to users. It considers the barriers to dissemination and identifies ways of overcoming them. Finally, the chapter discusses ways of evaluating dissemination.
