The education strategy to implement the Liverpool Care Pathway for the Dying Patient (LCP)
This chapter reviews the development of an education strategy that is based on the process of implementing the Liverpool Care Pathway for the Dying Patient (LCP) in the Acute Hospital Sector. It examines the different issues related to the initial implementation process and the ongoing core curriculum, and also provides an outline of an education programme that is aimed at the multidisciplinary team (MDT). This programme may be extrapolated to other care settings, such as the community.
