This chapter examines some novel undulator concepts which have been developed to enhance particular properties of the insertion device. Quasiperiodic, figure-8, staggered array, revolver, and adjustable phase undulators are discussed. Finally, some more exotic concepts for generating undulator-like radiation are described. These concepts include electrostatic devices, image charge undulators, microwave-based systems, and crystal-based systems.
