This chapter discusses the hatred Caponsacchi has for Guido, which is considered as the most powerful expression of hatred in The Ring and the Book. A detailed analysis of the hatred one of Browning's characters has for another of his characters is provided in this chapter, and certain excerpts and verses of this poem are also included.
