Introduction
This introductory chapter begins with a discussion of the meaning of the term “innovation.” It briefly describes the laws affecting innovation, namely the intellectual property laws and antitrust laws, and the conflict between them. It then offers an overview of the ten proposals introduced in the book and shows the global application of the book.
