ALL THE PEOPLE listed below have been influential in some way in relation to this study, many contributing information or assisting in gathering data and ideas. I undertook formal interviews with many, had informal conversations with others, and was guided to information and archives by yet others. I have grouped these people together in terms of location, although some have dual locations. I have not included dates of formal interviews. Names are not necessarily listed in alphabetical order so musical and dance groupings or familial groupings are recorded together. I take full responsibility for all omissions. This error is entirely my own. I have included institutional affiliation as appropriate, however, this is not necessarily a reflection of current affiliation. Finally, it is with profound sadness that I acknowledge that some of those listed below have passed on—Q.E.P.D. I have decided not to distinguish these individuals but instead simply record each name.
