This chapter illustrates how time has been considered in previous psychological theorizing. The book attempts to provide an array of current and emerging topics in psychology that are drawn together by a common effort to illustrate how time may be, or should be, integrated into efforts to better understand and predict people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; that is, in human ways of being. This volume is divided into two major sections, “Thinking About the Future” and “Thinking About the Past”. All chapters take an integrative approach to judgments over time and their relation to people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
